Saab To Appeal Court's Denial Of Creditor Protection

Law360, New York (September 9, 2011, 1:04 PM EDT) -- Saab Automobile AB said Friday it would appeal a Swedish court's rejection of its plea for protection from creditors that opened the door for its labor unions and suppliers to try to force the ailing carmaker into bankruptcy.

On Thursday, the Swedish court refused to shield Saab from creditors while it sought financing from Chinese investors, saying it did not see any reason to believe the company had much chance for survival.
