Cement Co. Blasts Citgo Over La. Oil Spill

Law360 (June 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Cement contractor Dunham Price Group LLC has become the latest in a slew of agencies and organizations suing Citgo Petroleum Corp. over a spill that sent 71,000 barrels of oil into Lake Charles, La in June 2006.

The oil spill, which Dunham Price alleges stemmed from Citgo's own “acts, omissions, negligence, want of due care and/or strict liability and fault,” resulted in the closing of a Calcasieu River waterway the plaintiffs said was crucial to its ordinary business conduct.
