Bankrupt Souper Salad Owner Wins $6M In Financing

Law360, New York (September 15, 2011, 8:52 PM EDT) -- SSI Group Holding Corp., the owner of Grandy’s and Souper Salad restaurants, won access Thursday to $6 million in financing, a key first step after it filed for Chapter 11 protection in order to sell off its Grandy’s assets.

In its bankruptcy petition and other first-day filings in Delaware bankruptcy court Wednesday, SSI detailed its massive debt liabilities and said that after operating for over a year without a working capital facility, it was now desperate for cash in order to stay afloat.
