Crestron Escapes Injunction In Home Automation Row

Law360, New York (September 15, 2011, 6:45 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts federal judge on Thursday refused to slap a preliminary injunction on Crestron Electronics Inc. for allegedly taking retaliatory action against a dealer of its home automation technology who consorted with rival Savant Systems LLC, the plaintiff in an antitrust suit against Crestron.

Savant brought the suit against Crestron in September 2010, alleging the company has cornered the market for programmable controllers used in home automation by blocking dealers from selling rival products.
