Senators To Vote On Energy Bill Tuesday

Law360, New York (June 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A sweeping energy bill that would overhaul large swaths of the industry is making its way through Congress at a faster pace than many observers had expected.

On Monday evening, Senators reached a consent agreement to push through a Tuesday schedule for debate on the bill, which would impact the coal, natural gas, petroleum and electricity industries, according to Bill Wicker, a spokesman for the Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
