WebMD Sues Ex-VP For Jumping To Rival

Law360, New York (September 19, 2011, 2:32 PM EDT) -- WebMD Health Corp. on Thursday sued a former vice president of the company in Pennsylvania federal court, claiming he violated his employment agreement by quitting to join rival health information services provider HealthGrades Inc.

WebMD claims that ex-Vice President Anthony T. Dale's decision to jump ship to HealthGrades is a breach of a series of noncompete agreements with his former employer, and that the move puts WebMD's confidential customer information at risk.
