Ex-Auto Parts Exec Receives 2 Years In Fraud Case

Law360, New York (September 20, 2011, 7:33 PM EDT) -- An Arizona federal judge on Monday sentenced CSK Auto Corp.'s ex-chief financial officer to two years in prison for his role in a scheme to defraud vendors through double billings and hiding $52 million in unclaimable allowances that caused the company to overstate its income.

Don W. Watson, who was first indicted in April 2009, pled guilty in May to securities fraud and mail fraud for engaging in fraudulent accounting schemes from 2001 to 2006. According to the plea agreement, Watson conspired with other CSK executives...
