$100M Supplement Fraudster's Sentence Cut By 15 Years

Law360, New York (September 21, 2011, 2:02 PM EDT) -- An Ohio federal judge on Tuesday reduced the sentence of the founder of an herbal supplements company from 25 to 10 years, three years after he was convicted of cheating customers out of at least $100 million through misleading advertising and credit card fraud.

U.S. District Judge S. Arthur Spiegel reduced Warshak's sentence after an appeals court vacated and remanded the sentence in December. The appeals court found that Judge Spiegel had not properly explained the basis for the sentence.
