China Cries Foul Over US Challenge Of Chicken Duties

Law360, New York (September 21, 2011, 1:11 PM EDT) -- The Chinese government on Wednesday defended its anti-dumping and countervailing duties on U.S. chicken products, a day after U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk announced that the U.S. had filed a case with the Word Trade Organization over the tariffs.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a statement that the country believed the challenged duties were “in line with WTO rules,” as well as the law.
