Employee Free Choice Act Hits Rocky Road

Law360, New York (June 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Opening the contentious Employee Free Choice Act to U.S. Senate-wide debate on Tuesday, Sen. Mike Enzi vowed to fight the “undemocratic” bill, echoing the unfavorable views that could bode poorly for the measure.

“The right to a private ballot is one of the cornerstones of our democracy, and I will defend that right as the Senate debates this bill,” said Enzi (R-Wyo.), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
