Zurich Shakes Bad Faith Claim Over Asbestos Settlement

Law360, New York (September 21, 2011, 5:28 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed part of a Missouri county's counterclaim against Zurich American Insurance Co. alleging a bad faith failure to settle underlying litigation over asbestos contamination at a Kansas City courthouse, finding the claim required an excess settlement.
