Hanover Fights Coverage Of Labor Co. In Silica Suits

Law360, New York (September 22, 2011, 1:37 PM EDT) -- Hanover Insurance Co. on Wednesday sued Superior Labor Services Inc. in Louisiana to avoid defending or indemnifying the company against underlying, third-party demands alleging it breached work contracts and gave rise to claims over silica exposure from sandblasting operations.

Hanover says various exclusions free it from covering Superior, which it has been defending under a reservation of rights in two lawsuits against Allied Shipyard Inc.
