Kerry Picks Up Cargill's Flavor Business For $230M

Law360, New York (September 22, 2011, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Global food ingredients supplier Kerry Group PLC announced Thursday that it had snatched up Minnesota-based Cargill Inc.'s flavor business for about $230 million.

Tralee, Ireland-based Kerry said it had signed an agreement to acquire Cargill Flavor Systems and its $200 million a year revenue from its parent company.

The acquisition will expand Kerry's reach into emerging markets and allow it to provide integrated products and services for its customers in all food and beverage end-use markets, it says.
