Drugmaker Agrees To Reviews Over Fake Data Claims

Law360, New York (September 22, 2011, 8:33 PM EDT) -- Skin drug company Hill Dermaceuticals Inc. reached an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice in Florida on Thursday over claims that it submitted fake data with new drug applications, consenting to future reviews of its manufacturing and distribution processes.

The consent decree, filed by the DOJ, follows inspections of Hill's Sanford, Fla., facility by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that found current good manufacturing practices below FDA standards. The agency also alleged the falsification of data for at least two new drug applications. The...
