HgCapital Takes Domain Name Co. Private For £153M

Law360, New York (September 23, 2011, 3:53 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm HgCapital said Friday it had reached a deal to take London-based domain name manager Group NBT PLC private for £153 million ($236 million) in cash in a bid to grow the company at least partially through acquisitions.

Newton Bidco Ltd., a unit of the U.K.-based private equity buyer, said it had got the deal done with an offer of 550 pence per share — a premium of 22.5 percent over Group NBT's share price as of Thursday.
