Ecosentials Says Vitaminwater Trademark Invalid

Law360, New York (September 26, 2011, 6:35 PM EDT) -- Ecosentials LLC, which makes the water enhancer Vitamin Squeeze, filed a lawsuit on Friday asking an Arizona federal court to rule that its product does not infringe Vitaminwater maker Energy Brands Inc.'s "vitaminwater" trademark, saying the trademark is invalid.

Ecosentials maintains that Vitamin Squeeze does not violate Energy Brands' intellectual property, and it further asserts that the "vitaminwater" mark is generic and therefore invalid.
