Ex-Pa. Lawmaker Fumo Gets 5.5 Years For Fraud

Law360, New York (November 10, 2011, 5:23 PM EST) -- Former Pennsylvania Sen. Vincent Fumo, convicted of defrauding the state Senate, a museum and a nonprofit of millions of dollars, received 5 1/2 years in prison late Thursday at his federal court resentencing in Philadelphia.

U.S. District Judge Ronald Buckwalter sentenced Fumo to 61 months — six months more than he originally received in a July 2009 sentence that was later overturned by the Third Circuit.
