DLA Piper Advises Carlyle Group On ITRS Deal

Law360, New York (September 26, 2011, 10:04 PM EDT) -- Private equity firm Carlyle Group said Monday it has acquired London-based ITRS Group, a technology company offering trading software to financial firms.

Though the particulars of the deal were not disclosed, Carlyle says equity will come from a €530 million Carlyle Europe Technology fund. The fund has previously invested in finance technology firms, including Belgium-based FRS Global and Sweden-based Trema.

ITRS's main product is a trading and data-monitoring platform called Geneos, which allows banks to improve their risk management and trading functions, Carlyle says. The platform...
