US, Canada, Mexico Pledge Joint Action On Product Safety

Law360, Washington (September 27, 2011, 7:28 PM EDT) -- The U.S. and its North American neighbors wrapped up a summit on consumer product safety Tuesday with a plan to work cooperatively to strengthen protections for children and consumers across the continent.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Health Canada and the Consumer Protection Federal Agency of the United Mexican States, known as Profeco, said they would work together in concert on six particular areas of consumer product safety.
