New HSR Rules — In Effect

Law360, New York (October 4, 2011, 12:29 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice announced several changes in July 2011 to the reporting requirements for parties seeking antitrust approval of proposed mergers and acquisitions under the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act and Premerger Notification Rules. The newly revised HSR regulations and form took effect on Aug. 18, 2011. Therefore, companies, individuals and their counsel must be familiar with and prepared to file under the new rules going forward.
