NLRB Backs American Crystal Sugar In Union Feud

Law360, New York (September 28, 2011, 6:35 PM EDT) -- American Crystal Sugar Co. said Wednesday that the National Labor Relations Board had rejected union allegations that the company failed to negotiate in good faith before locking out about 1,300 workers across three states.

In a letter issued earlier this week, the Minneapolis Regional Office of the National Labor Relations Board said it had carefully investigated the union's claims but found no indications that the sugar processing company had violated the National Labor Relations Act in its negotiations with the Bakery Confectionery Tobacco Workers and Grain...
