Scientist Says Unfairly Axed Over Govt. Testimony

Law360, New York (June 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A scientist claims he was fired from Minnesota's pollution control agency soon after he was asked to testify in a government investigation into an alleged cover-up involving high pesticide levels in the state's waters.

Paul Wotzka, who was employed with the agency as a hydrologist, claims he was terminated in retaliation for agreeing to testify on the concentration of atrazine – a controversial herbicide used on corn in Minnesota – that he had found while testing samples of the state's waters.
