Fla. Hospital Workers Breached ER Patients' Data

Law360, New York (September 30, 2011, 7:25 PM EDT) -- Florida Hospital said Friday that three ex-employees had improperly accessed the personal information of about 2,200 car accident victims who visited its emergency department between January 2010 and Aug. 15.

The employees combed through medical records that included patient names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and insurance information, according to a notice posted on the hospital's website.
