Dems Urge Probe Of Clarence Thomas Over Wife's Income

Law360, New York (September 30, 2011, 6:24 PM EDT) -- Twenty congressional Democrats called for a U.S. Department of Justice investigation Thursday into U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' possible failure to disclose his wife's lobbying income and a Texas real estate magnate's favors.

Rep. Louise M. Slaughter, D-N.Y., and 19 of her House colleagues sent a letter to the U.S. Judicial Conference, saying the court administrator had no choice but to petition the DOJ to look into criminal or civil sanctions against the Supreme Court justice of 20 years.
