Kohler Claims Rival Knocked Off Its Kitchen Sink Designs

Law360, New York (October 4, 2011, 6:38 PM EDT) -- Privately held plumbing fixtures manufacturer Kohler Co. sued rival Amerisink Inc. on Monday in Wisconsin federal court accusing it of infringing patents for two kitchen sink designs.

Kohler's complaint, filed in the Eastern District of Wisconsin, alleges that three of Amerisink's stainless steel sinks were of “inferior quality, deeply discounted, [and] imitations of Kohler's sink designs.” These designs allegedly copied Kohler's Undertone Large D-Bowl Kitchen Sink and Double Equal Undercounter Kitchen Sink, the filing said.
