Greens Sue W.Va. Mine Operator Over Selenium

Law360, New York (October 4, 2011, 7:53 PM EDT) -- Three environmental groups sued mining company Argus Energy LLC on Tuesday, saying it continues to dump toxic selenium into West Virginia waterways and that state regulators are doing nothing to stop it.

The Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition, the West Virginia Highlands Conservancy and the Sierra Club seek an injunction on violations of the company's discharge permits and civil damages under the Clean Water Act.
