Ex-Minter Ellison CFO Charged With Stealing From Firm

Law360, New York (October 5, 2011, 10:31 PM EDT) -- The former chief financial officer of top Australian law firm Minter Ellison was arrested Wednesday at Sydney Airport on charges that he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from the firm, according to Australian news reports.

Craig Raneberg — who lost his job with the firm in June — was flying in from Bangkok, where he had been staying for the past several months, according to AdelaideNow, the website for Australian newspaper The Advertiser. The trip was to renew his Thai visa, the site reported....
