China, India Skirt WTO Disclosure Rules, US Says

Law360, New York (October 6, 2011, 5:35 PM EDT) -- U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk on Thursday accused China and India of ignoring World Trade Organization policy by refusing to provide information on the countries' numerous government subsidy programs.

Kirk said the U.S. submitted information to the WTO identifying nearly 200 subsidy programs that China has failed to identify, as well as 50 such programs that India has also failed to disclose to the global trade body.
