Ohio High Court Won't Review Fireman's Asbestos Suit

Law360, Washington (October 7, 2011, 3:01 PM EDT) -- Ohio's highest court said Wednesday that it would not answer a question certified to it from Fireman's Fund Insurance Co.'s $21 million dispute with Hartford Accident and Indemnity Co. over auto parts supplier Dana Corp.'s asbestos litigation costs.

After spending $20 million defending Dana in asbestos litigation and related suits and shelling out $1.1 million in settlements, Fireman's Fund launched a suit against Hartford — who insured Dana after its coverage policy with Fireman's Fund expired — hoping to recover some of its costs.
