AT&T, TiVo Targeted In DVR Patent Suits

Law360, New York (October 11, 2011, 1:25 PM EDT) -- Digital CBT LLC on Thursday slapped AT&T Inc. and TiVo Inc. with separate lawsuits in Delaware federal court, claiming that the defendants' digital video recorders infringe a video signal processing patent.

Newport Beach, Calif.-based Digital CBT's complaints allege that the defendants have directly infringed the patent-in-suit by “making, using, selling and offering for sale” DVR products including AT&T's Total Home DVR and the TiVo HD XL DVR. The complaints also allege indirect infringement.
