Wyeth Wants To Dump Old PPA Case Files

Law360, New York (June 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Drug maker Wyeth Pharmaceuticals has asked a federal judge's permission to pull the plug on backup files it has been forced to keep in a case over a cough medicine that was yanked from U.S. shelves almost seven years ago.

In a motion filed Friday in the Seattle district court, Wyeth sought relief from a preservation order in the Phenylpropanolamine (PPA) product liability litigation that has required the drug maker to keep copies of every e-mail and other document related to the case since 2001....
