Chrysler GPS Systems Infringe Beacon Patents: Suit

Law360, New York (October 11, 2011, 8:10 PM EDT) -- Beacon Navigation GmbH hit Chrysler Group LLC with a patent infringement suit Tuesday claiming Chrysler incorporated two of Beacon's patented navigation features into the GPS systems of car models including the Chrysler 300.

In its complaint filed in Delaware federal court, Beacon accused Chrysler of modifying its GPS systems to include features that contained “a material part of the inventions” covered by the patents. The suit targets the 2011 model of the Chrysler 300, according to an attorney for Beacon.
