Ford, Chrysler Accused Of Lying About Canada-Made Cars

Law360, New York (October 11, 2011, 5:23 PM EDT) -- A nonprofit organization that promotes products made in the U.S. said Monday it had filed complaints against Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler Group LLC with the Federal Trade Commission for allegedly misleading consumers about where their vehicles were made.

California-based Made in the USA Foundation claims that both U.S.-based car companies have engaged in false advertising to allegedly trick car buyers into thinking certain vehicles were made in the U.S. when they were actually built in Canada.
