Liz Claiborne Sells Marks To JC Penney, Others For $328M

Law360, New York (October 12, 2011, 12:42 PM EDT) -- Liz Claiborne Inc. said Wednesday it would sell its Liz Claiborne trademarks and Monet jewelry brands to J.C. Penney Co. Inc. for $267.5 million, part of a flurry of intellectual property and licensing deals that will reap the company a total of $328 million.
