Siemens, U. Of Neb. Settle Lab Test Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 6:21 PM EDT) -- The University of Nebraska and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. on Wednesday settled their dispute over two laboratory testing patents held by the university, ending a two-year battle.

The settlement of the suit, dismissed with prejudice, follows a partial summary judgment last year that determined Siemens did not infringe one of the university's two disputed patents.

Terms of the settlement were not immediately available, but each party will pay its own attorneys' fees.
