Standard Chartered Puts $61M Into Korean Motorcycle Co.

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 1:42 PM EDT) -- The private equity arm of Standard Chartered PLC said Thursday it had invested $61 million in South Korean motorcycle and auto parts maker Daelim Motor Co. Ltd. to support the company's international expansion.

Standard Chartered Private Equity said in a statement that it will make the investment through a subscription of new shares of the company, but did not include the amount of its ownership stake and did not immediately respond to request for comment Thursday.
