Obama, S. Korean Prez Praise Trade Pact As Jobs Creator

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 3:21 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama on Thursday hailed passage of a free trade agreement between the United States and South Korea, saying the pact would strengthen both nations' economies and be a boon for job creation.

Obama said during a morning reception for South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak that the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, which cleared both houses of Congress on Wednesday, represented a “historic achievement,” and would strengthen the countries' alliance.
