Judge Nixes Suits Seeking Kagan Health Care Reform Docs

Law360, New York (October 14, 2011, 4:50 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge on Thursday threw out two suits seeking documents related to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan's alleged involvement with the Obama administration's health care reform law, ruling that the defendants adequately provided relevant documents.

Conservative media and government watchdogs the Media Research Center and Judicial Watch Inc. had brought separate suits against the U.S. Department of Justice and the Office of the U.S. Solicitor General in 2010 over Freedom of Information Act requests that they claim were not sufficiently answered.
