Oil Services Co. Pason Can’t Dodge Drilling Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 14, 2011, 7:17 PM EDT) -- A Colorado federal judge on Friday denied a bid by oil services company Pason Systems USA Corp. to nix a patent infringement suit by National Oil Varco LP involving a patent for an automatic drilling system for oil and gas rigs.

U.S. District Judge Richard Matsch rejected Pason’s motion to dismiss the suit for lack of standing in a short order.
