Trade Association Unveils Privacy Policy For Mobile Apps

Law360, New York (October 17, 2011, 9:33 PM EDT) -- The Mobile Marketing Association, a trade association for the mobile industry, released proposed guidelines Monday meant to advise mobile application developers on core privacy issues and data processes.

The guidelines, which are open for public comment from marketers, app developers, advertising agencies and other members of the mobile marketing industry, include guidance on using consumer-friendly language, methods of informing users on how data is used, and security and confidentiality of information.
