Chadbourne Atty Has No Conflict Of Interest: Edwards

Law360, New York (October 17, 2011, 7:42 PM EDT) -- Former Sen. John Edwards told a North Carolina federal judge on Monday that the Chadbourne & Parke LLP heavyweight defending him against campaign finance charges does not have a conflict of interest even though that lawyer previously represented two potential government witnesses.

The two-time presidential hopeful was indicted in June over nearly $1 million in private gift money that was used to hide his extramarital affair and love child during the 2008 presidential election cycle.
