China Targets US, EU Caprolactam With Dumping Duties

Law360, New York (October 18, 2011, 2:20 PM EDT) -- China will begin charging anti-dumping duties on imports of caprolactam, which is used in the manufacture of synthetic fibers, from the U.S. and the European Union, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said Tuesday.

The Ministry of Commerce said it will begin to levy the duties on caprolactam imports on Oct. 22.

The move to impose anti-dumping duties was the result of a investigation first launched in early 2010, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
