WR Grace Seeks Merger Of 60 Bankrupt Units

Law360, New York (October 18, 2011, 6:55 PM EDT) -- In a move it said would speed up the resolution of all claims against it, W.R. Grace & Co. on Tuesday asked a Delaware bankruptcy judge to approve the merger of around 60 of its bankrupt subsidiaries with its surviving operating unit.

In its motion, Grace asked U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Judith K. Fitzgerald to approve the merger agreements but to allow the specialty chemical maker to hold off on completing the mergers pending the outcome of an appeal of a January order confirming its bankruptcy exit...
