Neb. Speaker Denies Effort To Block Oil Sands Pipeline

Law360, New York (October 19, 2011, 3:19 PM EDT) -- The leader of the Nebraska Legislature announced Wednesday that he opposed calling a special session aimed at rerouting TransCanada Corp.'s controversial oil pipeline around a major water source, a victory for the company a day after it offered to build additional safety measures to assuage wary legislators.
