RV Maker Wins Stay On Kawasaki IP Claims In 7th Circ.

Law360, New York (October 21, 2011, 7:11 PM EDT) -- The Seventh Circuit on Friday reversed a ruling denying recreational vehicle maker Bombardier Recreational Products Inc.’s bid to stay claims related to a patent infringement dispute brought by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., pending arbitration.

A three-judge panel ruled BRP had not in fact waived its right to arbitration with Kawasaki — a right outlined in a settlement agreement between the two companies concerning a patent dispute.
