Walletmaker Asks 6th Circ. To Block Seven's Use Of Mark

Law360, New York (October 21, 2011, 4:45 PM EDT) -- Koyono Co. on Thursday asked the Sixth Circuit to reverse an Ohio federal court's decision denying the accessory maker's request to block designer denim company Seven For All Mankind LLC from selling a line of jeans allegedly bearing Koyono's Slimmy wallet trademark.

The apparel and accessories seller said the district court wrongly determined there was no likelihood of confusion between the Koyono and Seven brands when it rejected Koyono's bid for a preliminary injunction. Lyndhurst, Ohio-based Koyono sued Seven in February for allegedly using the Slimmy...
