Law360, New York (November 3, 2011, 2:53 PM EDT) -- Legal system problems and corruption have stunted private equity investment in Russia, but attorneys in the field say that some firms are braving the difficulties and finding ways to tap the country’s riches.

Russia has an educated, entrepreneurial population; a booming consumer base; vast natural resources; and relatively low costs of labor, placing it near the top of many private equity firms' wish lists, attorneys said.
