Head Of BP Spill Fund Accepts Criticism, Defends Work

Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 2:01 PM EDT) -- The head of BP PLC's $20 billion fund to compensate victims of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill told Congress on Thursday that he should be the one to bear criticism over how the fund has handled claims.

Kenneth Feinberg, administrator of the Gulf Coast Claims Facility, testified in a House Natural Resources Committee hearing that his office had processed hundreds of thousands of individual and business claims without interference from BP or the Obama administration.
