Louisiana State Agencies Copyright Driver's License Design

Law360 (October 12, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a move to crack down on forgeries of driver's licenses, several state agencies in Louisiana have registered copyright on the state Capitol used as the backdrop on driver's licenses, the Associated Press reported.

The agencies are the Office of Motor Vehicles, Louisiana State Police, the Office of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and the state attorney general's office.
