Ex-Innospec Exec Faces UK Bribery Charges

Law360, New York (October 25, 2011, 5:13 PM EDT) -- A former executive of specialty chemicals and fuel additives maker Innospec Inc. was charged in London on Tuesday for allegedly bribing Iraqi and Indonesian officials over six years to obtain government contracts for the company.

British businessman David Turner, a former business unit director for the Colorado-based company, faces three allegations of conspiracy for bribing the foreign officials for contracts and to enlist their help in sabotaging an Innospec competitor, according to a statement by the U.K. Serious Fraud Office.
